Become a GuiAmigo
For guides, interpreters, translators and venues in São Luís who want to be found by travellers.
Why join
New customers
Search filters by language, neighbourhood and type of service. People who arrive know what they want.
Verified profiles
The “ID verified” badge shows travellers and partners that you passed the team’s check.
Rules that protect you
Identified customers, public places, meeting code, a reporting channel and cancellation rules that are the same for everyone.
How verification works
Trust starts at sign-up. Every step is checked by our team.
Identity
Official photo ID. It is kept in private storage and never shown to travellers.
Certificates
Background certificates, kept with restricted access.
Photo
A photo of you, checked against the document.
The “ID verified” badge only appears on a profile once our team completes the check.
Trust rules
Simple rules, the same for everyone.
Cancellation
Cancelling is free up to 24 hours before the start. After that, the cancellation is recorded in the history of whoever cancels (rules apply to both sides and may change before launch).
Reliability
No-shows and late cancellations are recorded, with a right to dispute. The rate of meetings that took place appears on the professional’s profile.
Contact inside the app
Chats and calls happen in the app, and phone numbers and social handles are not swapped in the chat.
How GuiAmigo earns
A simple, transparent model, still being defined.
Guides, interpreters and translators
A commission on bookings made through the app. The percentage is being defined and will be shown before sign-up.
